What do your books offer that others do not for your genre?
My books classify as Paranormal/Fantasy Romance, however, they are heavily mixed with action, suspense, humor, and many more elements that I don’t often see hardly, if at all, in this particular genre. All my books connect and intercede each other’s story plots in some way or another, so once read once through, you can discover new things after each subsequent book you’ve read afterwards.
What book of yours is the best place to start?
Because my books are all placed in the same world, same (or connected) Guardians, you can either start where you want, or you can follow this formula:
the Promiscus Guardians series, the Guardians In Love (standalone) series, and then finally, the Underground Guardians series. Awakening, book one of the Promiscus Guardians series, is always free and a good place to break into my writing if you want to give me a test drive. However, all of my books, save the Promiscus Guardians series, can be read in whatever order you wish.
What’s your favorite heroine/hero you’ve written?
Each heroine and hero offers something new and exciting that you haven’t read from me before. I will always love and hold a special place for Izzy, since I modeled her most after myself and she was my break through character into this new scene of authorhood, but I love all of my characters for different reasons. Best part? If you don’t like one, likelihood is that you’ll like another. My characters are so diverse and personable that you will find your true love in at least one (if not all) of them!
What is on the horizon for your writing?
Bernie is the newest Guardian In Love addition, and may I just say, I had so much fun writing him that he inspired a brand-new, exclusive to my newsletter subscriber’s short story collection. All of these upcoming short stories will be from the featured Guardian’s POV and take place after they fall for their heroine of choice. Best of all? They are completely FREE, just have to subscribe to my newsletter to receive them.
What would you say to aspiring writers out there if given the chance?
First, I’d say, write. Do it. Stop telling yourself you can’t. Stop talking yourself down and telling yourself that you’re not good enough. You have something someone else doesn’t, and it needs to be out there. If it’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that you need to trust what you put on the page. Sure, make sure it’s perfect, but only where YOU are concerned. Don’t let anyone else try to change what you write and what you love to do. Just do it and do it today.
